In Memory of R. Wayne Donovan, Sr.



Class of 1971
Lee-Davis High School

        DONOVAN, R. Wayne Sr., of Mechanicsville, passed away suddenly at home doing what he loved on May 11, 2011. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Nicholas Craig; parents, Henry Donovan and Gurleen Nunnally.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Jane; a son, R. Wayne Jr. and wife, Virginia. He is also survived by his brother, Jeff Donovan; sisters, Carolyn Baird, and Terry Bowles; and many other family and friends.

He was retired from Reynolds Metals, and was a devoted longtime member of the Asphalt Angels Car Club.

The family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. (today) Friday, at the Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, at Hanover Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Hanover Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 454, Mechanicsville, 23111-0454. logo
