In Memory of Ted Zorbas

Then and Now

Class of 1970
Lee-Davis High School

Posted By: David Roane Date: February 15, 2010
THIS MORTAL LIFE THAT WE LIVE, IS OFTEN FILLED WITH SORROW AND GRIEF, WITH DAYS OF FUN, AND JOY, AND GOOD OLD TIMES; TED ZORBAS, WE REMEMBER YOU NOW AND ALWAYS WILL, ALTHOUGH YOUR LIFE WAS MUCH TOO BRIEF, WE, THE CLASS OF '70, HOLD YOU FONDLY IN OUR HEARTS AND IN OUR MINDS. RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED BY DAVID M. ROANE ON BEHALF OF THE CLASS OF 1970.

Posted By: David Roane Date: March 12, 2010
Ted always impressed me as a young man who just liked to have good natured fun. In my mind's eye, I can still see him in Mr. Tate's 8th grade History class laughing and joking. I was always so uptight and fearful in those days that I inwardly envied Ted. I wished I could be more like him, enjoying life more. Rest in peace Ted and may the eternal joy of God be with you always.

He was a friend of my older brothers. He was very well liked.

Ted and I dated a little when we were Seniors. He was always polite, thoughtful and generous. I was shocked to hear of his untimely death and still remember where I was when I heard the news. I will always have great memories of Ted.

I considered Ted to be my best friend in high school. He was a funny, fun-loving guy. I will always remember riding around with him in his Camaro convertible and laughing at his Greek words and phrases.

Ted....you will always be 'forever young'. We were in grade school through high school together and you will never be forgotten. I'm sure I will again meet "MR. LD" someday.
